We’re Gavin and Lurline, Owners of Saletoga Sands Resort and Spa in Samoa.

Originally from New Zealand, our love of travel, food, family and friends has brought us to where we are today,

 living and working in beautiful Samoa.
When we visited Samoa for the first time we knew it was a special place. During one of our many trips to Samoa, 

we came across an old coconut plantation sitting on a pristine, white sandy beach, surrounded by lush greenery and exotic flowers.

Gavin has over 40 years’ experience in the building industry, he has a passion for creating and designing when it comes to building. 

Gavin has worked alongside his building team to create this elegant, modern resort and has still managed to 

incorporate touches of the cultural heritage.

Lurline’s love for food has kept her busy in the kitchen from designing menus for all occasions and working 

alongside the chefs in the kitchen, creating award-winning dishes. We’re hands on owners, every piece of the resort 

has been meticulously designed with care and passion. 

We’re always up skilling and working hard to keep up with new innovations.  

A huge part of our journey while living here in Samoa has been educating/training our staff and working beside them. 

Our staff are our family and without them we couldn’t have made this dream a reality. 

The people of our neighbouring villages of Matatufu, 

have been warm, welcoming and it has been an absolute pleasure getting to know them and the culture. 

We believe being active in the community is the best way to truly experience a country. 

We are happy to promote and support their endeavours whenever possible. 

Customer service is our leading drive when it comes to our resort, we want every person who 

comes to the resort to feel at home and feel looked after. We love investing time into our guests, getting to know them is a priority for us. 

We have made many lifelong connections through the opening of Saletoga Sands Resort and Spa and we hope to continue to do so.

our personal tastes and ideas, It really has been a team effort building our brand to where it is today.
